Local good causes will benefit financially from the Bath Coffee Festival after organiser Geometry PR pledged to donate 50% of any profits to the Bath Rugby Community Foundation and the Quartet Community Foundation.
Supporting local community initiatives is important to Geometry and a proportion of the company's profits are annually returned to fund local good causes and to support its chosen corporate charity the Bath Rugby Community Foundation, which was established in November 2003 with the aim of helping young people in and around the Bath area.
Since 2007 the team at Geometry has helped to raise funds for the Foundation and in 2008 staff from the agency raised in excess of £3,000. The Geometry team also ran the Bristol 10k challenge to help raise additional funds in May 2009. Geometry also gets involved with the promotion of public relations to students and regularly provides presentations at schools and colleges as well as offering work placements to exceptional students.
Quartet Community Foundation is an independent charity whose purpose is to build strong, vibrant communities where everyone has the chance to contribute and be valued, whatever their circumstances.
Set up in 1987, Quartet is one of the oldest and most successful community foundations in the UK. Quartet manages over 130 charitable funds established by individuals, families, companies and others who want to see their charitable giving having an impact in their local community.
Linda Donaldson, Managing Director of Geometry PR said; "It is our belief that the local Bath community should directly benefit from the Coffee Festival. The event is being organised in part to promote the city and the wider region, and the important role coffee has played in the history of the South West. We believe the Bath Coffee Festival will be a success for all involved."
